Why I Am Running.

"I am running for re-election to the City Council because Forest Lake is more than just a city to me—it is home, and it is a place my family, kids, and grandkids love and enjoy. I believe it is my civic duty to give back to the community that has given my family so much. With 12.5 years of service on the Forest Lake Planning Commission, the last two years serving you on the City Council, and my hands-on leadership on the Personnel Committee and the Airport Rules and Regulations Steering Committee, I bring a track record of common-sense governing and transparent leadership to our local government. My time spent bridging key local partnerships as a liaison to both the Comfort Lake-Forest Lake Watershed District (CLFLWD) and the School Board has proven that I know how to bring people together to get things done. My vision is to shape long-term city goals that ensure a safe, thriving, and sustainable future, focusing on three core pillars:

  • Responsible Spending & Infrastructure: Prioritizing your taxpayer dollars on essential needs by modernizing our roads, public utilities, municipal facilities, and transit systems safely, efficiently, and transparently.

I have spent over a decade planning our city's future, modernizing our municipal assets, and uniting our local institutions. I am ready to keep using a pragmatic, balanced approach to preserve, protect, and improve Forest Lake for your family and mine."

I’m Kevin Miller and I am running for re-election to the Forest Lake City Council.

Over the past 14 ½ years, 12 ½ on the Planning Commission of Forest Lake and two years on City Council, I have been proud to serve this community and work to make Forest Lake an even better place to live, work, and raise a family. While we’ve accomplished a lot together, there’s still more to do.

I’m running again because I care deeply about our city and want to continue listening, leading, and working hard on behalf of our residents. Together, we can keep Forest Lake moving forward.
